I managed to get all of next week off work. Seriously, that's the best Christmas present I can possibly think of.
It's not so much that I hate my job, I'm just thoroughly exhausted and very stressed, and I don't know if I can handle it. I need more time off...
We're likely going up to visit my dad's godmother. She's not in the best of health, but she's an awesome woman with some crazy huge property. 23 room house with sauna, pool, gym and wine cellar, an apple orchard, three big happy dogs, a horse..
I'm very much looking forward to seeing family (not blood, but they're still family to me) I haven't seen since the summer, snowshoeing around in the orchard with the dogs and swimming all afternoon and eating way too much. Much fun to be had.
Last time I was up there they had some horribly slwo old IBM something-or-other from the late 90s and AOL dialup, so I dunno if I'll be on Gaia too much next week, unless things have improved somewhat in the technology department. sweatdrop They're just not big on computers in that house for some reason.
