I am a shining star
I wonder if other people can see me shining
I hear people cheer around me
I see other stars shining
I want people to only see me
I am a shining star

I pretend I enjoy others company
I feel alone
I touch the empty space next to me
I worry if my friends will come back again
I cry out to nothing
I am a shining star

I understand what I must do now
I say hello to everyone I meet
I dream about making friends again
I try to be friendly
I hope they will like me again
