Well, I`m finally on my way to Japan! When I was woken up this morning @ 4AM to go to the airport, I was actually a little confused as to what was happening, I was so asleep. Anecdotes aside, so far nothing really interesting has happened... yet. I don`t anticipate anything negative, but you never know. When we landed at O`hare, we were actually early, of all things, so we had to putz arount on the tarmac for a bit before we could park. Or whatever it`s called when an airplane does it. Leaving was a different matter. We were grounded for what seemed like ages, but was probably closer to 45 minutes. Listening to the control tower chatter (channel 9 on the armrest) it sounded like there was a lot of plane-shuffling going on. :sigh: At least we`re almost there. Or not. Apparently, we`re over Nebraska. This is going to be a loooooong flight.
