My copy of FireFox just crashed, after eating over 200MB of memory from the computer.
That's 200MB, out of around 500MB
Two fifths of my computer's memory. One aplication.
And do you know why?
PORN. x3
Over four hundred tabs of high quality CG graphics which I've been downloading and putting in my collection. x3
Of course not all at once.
I'd open about a hundred, download the images, close them all down to the link page, and then open another hundred and repeat.
And I was down to the last image for that page, an' it crashed! x3
Know why?
FireFox doesn't seem to release the memory for the tab until you close the main window.
So every single one of those tab's data was still in the computer's memory.
Which isn't good.
So let that be a lesson to you!
Don't go overboard with porn, or your browser will crash! x3
