Teresa walked around inside of the shop looking at different slave to see which one she wanted this time.
"Oh great, another customer," Cate muttered to herself.
Teresa continued looking in cages until she came across a girl. She smiled and stopped as she looked at her, "Hello, what's your name?" she asked kindly.
"Cate Arcana," was the unenthusiastic answer. "Must you people have slaves? Its so cruel! We are people too! What makes us so different?"
All of a sudden the owner hit Cate to the floor and apologized for her sharp tongue.
She flashed an angry glance at the owner, "Don't you dare do that again!" she growled then looked down at Cate with kind eyes. She nodded and paid for her and opened up the cage door, "Here, do you need help?" she asked kindly as she held her hand down to her.
"No," Cate said sharply," I'm not helpless, I can rise myself. stare "
She sighed and nodded and stood up straight, still looking at her with kind eyes. She hated doing this, but she wasn't going to let anyone know. Besides her husband told her she had to get a slave before he got home and he would be coming home tomorrow. "COme on." she said softly and started leading her towards a small car.
"You never did answer my question, Mistress." Cate told Teresa as a matter-of-fact.
She gave another sigh, "I'm not the one who wants a slave." she said softly. "It's my husband. I hate the idea of slave." she said softly then opened up the door for her then got in and started the car.
"Why does he want a slave?"
She shurgged and started driving, "I don't know. Probably because he wants the work to be done faster." she said soflty.
"What work does he have in mind for me?"
