I was wandering through Barton Town today. It was such a nice day for walking, you know? So pleasant and slightly windy! So I decided around midday to go out and wander.
Well, I made it all the way to the old Gamino Mansion.
It's a very dreary place.
Well, since it blew up, you know. It used to be such a wonderful, colorful building! And now it's just... well.
I'm sure you've seen it.
And to my suprise, there was a girl there, with long brown hair, all white and black clothes, and an ANGELIC STAFF.
Digging a hole in the ground with a funny bundle next to her.
She looked a little disorientated, and at first sight, I almost thought that she was going to be sick, the way she was doubled over.
So of course, I went over.
"Are you alright?" I asked, leaning over slightly so I could look at her face. Maybe she had a seizure of some kind. But she just ignored me and dug the hole deeper. There was mud and cement all over her clothes.
"What are you doing?" I asked meekly. "You're so dirty!"
And that's when I realized what the bundle was. It was a kitten.
"Oh! A kitten! What are you doing with a kitten?" She didn't, after all, seem the type to me that could own a kitten. "Did you-" And then it struck me. It wasn't any normal kitten.
No, it was quite dead.
And the girl just turned around and GLARED at me.
For a minute, I was almost afraid.
Almost!
"Go away." she said, in a very cold voice. As if I had done something to make her angry. "Or I will shove you off a cliff, where you very much belong."
I decided to leave her alone.
Maybe her kitten had just died and she was in mourning for it. I hope she's alright.
Maybe I'll see her tomorrow.
