"Do you know why they call me Zero?" The black Peace Maker was held firmly in his grasp. "Because I’ve never killed an innocent man." He put the pistol back in its holster and turning, headed towards a black horse. The other man stared at him as he walked away.

"It’s not over yet," he yelled. As he brought his hand up, he realized that the bullet had not missed, but had hit him in the hand. He looked at the grotesque bleeding stub he had.

Zero looked over his shoulder, "Your are not innocent, I will admit that; but there is a chance for you to redeem yourself." As Zero turned back around, the man went for his other gun. Zero whipped around, dropped to one knee and drew his gun. He put a round through the man’s head. Holstering his gun for a second time, he turned around to see a cloaked figure on the horse he was about to mount.

"So, Zero takes another," the cloaked figure giggled. The figure was obviously a woman, no older then 24, her face entirely cloaked.

Zero looked at her, "I thought I left you in the last town?"

She hopped off his horse, "You did, but you know I'll always be able to find you."

He sighed, "Vern." He shook his head, "Why do you follow me?"

"You’re interesting," she giggled.

Zero sighed again, "Well, if you’re going to follow me.." He pulled his gun out and shot the rope holding the horse to the wood. Vern jumped away. "You’re going to have to catch me." He then grabbed the reigns and pulled himself on and urged the horse out of town.
