Dear Aya,
((Aya is the name of the girl Mizu is pretending to write to as Mizu thinks writing "dear diary" to be strange and uncomfortable))
Today I hope to be a maid at the Mizunoyuri Okiya...this could lead me to become a full-fledged geisha one day, just like my Kaa-san... I promise that I will make Kaa-san and Tou-san proud of me. It's been a few months since they passed away, and I miss them terribly.
If I do become part of an Okiya family, I shall tell you everything about my experiences there. Pray the news will be good Aya-chan...
