Today/tonight I did something I haven't done in ages- I got 1622 words down on my computer in my rewrite of Stirrings of Power - this is more than I've written in a few months. I would like to place my success on a build-up of writing urges, the expansion writing I've been doing on my notes and the major fact that my roommates were gone and/or unconsious while I was writing. I finished chapter one - which is very, very different from the first chapter of the last version of this novel, and clocks in at 3008 words (the old chapter one was 6k or so, but it was a -long- chapter.) Now I'm not quite done yet, I may just get my new set goal of 2000 words for tonight (my starting goal was 500, then 1000, then 1500, so who knows where I'm going to end up?) When Live Journal works out its new bugs and goes back up I'll be posting the entire chapter up there - though only people on my friend list will be able to see it.
