I glance around me and find nothing that does not interest me. We are in ruins. Beautiful ruins. The stone is gray but outside the earth glows with palpable life, touched by the sun’s bright warmth. I can see crimson and white roses on some walls and hanging curtains on others. My best friend’s wedding? I walk outside the ruins and I stare in wonder. Far off I see an island so brilliant green, kissed by such sweet, lush grass. It sits in the clearest of waters, undisturbed by pollution or humanly things. My eyes scan downward to find my father swimming happily in this sea of purity. Suddenly I am laughing with my mother and sister, even a few friends of mine. Father and some others are sliding down the waterfall now, reminding me of my childhood when I had done the same. Such peace and calmness overcomes me as I laugh with my friends and family.
