Little child you once knew,
the white hair and black eyes,
behind her face you saw no lies.
Little child you once knew,
with a smile on her face there,
she put light into the air.
Little child you once knew,
so happy and care-free,
she was that way last you could see.
Little child you once knew,
you left her alone a year or few,
only to see what you let her to.
Little child you once knew,
the dark hair and yellow eyes,
hidden behind her face you saw demise.
Little child you once knew,
with a tear hidden behind her hair there,
she put a shadow into the air.
Little child you once knew,
so sad as you could be,
she was this way as you can see.
Little child you once knew,
she now never smiles or laughs for you,
whatever happened to that,
Little child you once knew.
