The wind lashed at my face, nipping me with it's cold, icy breath, howling with each gust. I ran with utter speed, trying to keep up a good pace. Trees burnt into charcoal behind me, threatening to burn me like a brand, leaving it's everlasting mark. Plumes of smoke came to suffocate me and send me into a state of unconsciousness. This night, I knew I was not alone.
