“You didn’t tell me you knew the owner of that company on sixth street,” said Anne to Lex. Anne caught up with Lex, and took her to Anne’s house. She was one of the on-lookers.
“That liar,” said Lex.
“What do you mean,” asked Anne.
“He told me his name was Jake,” said Lex.
“He has some nerve,” said Anne.
“That he does,” said Lex indifferently.
“You don’t like him do you?” asked Anne seriously.
“No, because he’s a great big conceited self-absorbed jerk and thinks he’s all that.” said Lex.
“I don’t blame you there. I wouldn’t like him either if he treated me like that. Don’t worry about it.” said Anne.
“ I know. Besides his mouth doesn’t match his ego and head. He’s got a triple wide ego and a head to match it.” said Lex.
“Yeah, I don’t know if there’s a place big enough to hold all three.” said Anne. They both laughed.
There was a silence. Then Anne asked, “how’s the house coming?”
“Good. There’s still some work to do, but it’s getting there,” said Lex.
“Let me know when you get done with it. I’d sure like to see it,” said Anne.
“Ok,” said Lex, and she got up and left.
