Did you know that with happiness it doesn't last? Did you know that with the pain it's just pound after pound after pound? There is just a darkness around my life. There is no silver lining, just a black ring surrounding my fate. I just keep falling and the breathing doesn't help. The effort to talk lessens and the train of thought is stopped in its tracks. The yesterdays are piling up. The future days are winding down. I'm looking at the yesterdays and what they could have been. I'm trying to forget the future but thinking about how I'm ever going to make it to tomorrow. I try to make my mark on the world, even if it melts away. I try... I only try to discover a way to succeed at this mystery we call life. Even if we do all lose in the end.... Three words do nothing for me.
