And before I forget, I hope everyone's watching the skies for the next day or two. You're looking for the planet Mars! surprised No kidding. Look towards the east in the evenings for a big, fiery yellow "star" that's shining brighter than any other. That's Mars. It's passing by unusually close to the Earth right now and according to the news, any one can see it - "no matter how little you know about the stars or how badly light-polluted your sky may be. There's nothing else nearly as bright that you can confuse it with." And I'll quote again for the following bit of info:
"Mars will be its closest to Earth on the night of Oct. 29-30, passing 43.1 million miles (69.4 million kilometers) from our planet around 11:25PM ET, Oct. 29. However, Mars will look just about as big and brilliant for a couple of weeks before and after that date."
Try not to miss it guys coz it won't come this close to Earth again until the summer of 2018! eek
