It's a very crap design.

Nell and tilly got given it for christmas. It is a disney waffle machine with mickey mouse on it and makes mickey mouse face waffles.

I decided to make waffles with nell and tilly the other day, because they were very bored.
I got the machine out and was quite surprised to see that the top of it was metal. I thought they must have done something to insulate it from the heating plates.
It is also BLOODY MASSIVE! Like a rhino. Considering that it only makes 4 tiny waffles....(I guess mickey mouse isn't very space efficient).

Whilst I was making the waffle mix with nell and tilly, my dad said "I CAN SMELL HOT. SOMETHING SMELLS HOT". And he was right, I could smell hot.
Turns out that this thing doesn't actually have a power switch. So when my dad turned the plug on to use the kettle, the waffle maker turned on too.
Oh, and guess how my dad checked to see if this thing was hot? He touched it. Which set him off into torrents of shouting and swearing.....

When you turn the machine on, a little light comes on and once the plates are ready to cook the waffles it turns off. Then there is no way to see if the machine is off or on. AND the heating plates are exposed, so tilly could jut reach up to touch the bright red mickey mouse waffle maker and get her little hands burned. So they had to go away when I cooked the waffles.

I am surprised that it's so dangerous. You'd think that disney wouldn't want to slap their name on something so hazardous because disney merchandise is all expensive and disney has a reputation to keep. A REPUTATION.

I want the waffle maker to go away, leave and never come back and stay in oxfam until some idiot buys it. But then nell was twittering on about how she had to say what her favourite christmas present was and she said she couldn't decide between the waffle maker and our "Make your own gingerbread house kit" which we have yet to use (I can't find my icing piping thing)............

................well the toastie maker is so much better anyway. Much much better than that stupid waffle maker.
The toastie maker is like a god in comparison! Or maybe an idol.
