This was sent to me by a really good friend, it kinda sums up how I feel, thought I would share it with y'all.
She wrote her name on my
heart with a dry erase marker
needing to leave some trace
but not one that would last
Loneliness makes eyes sparkle
and it's possible to make love
to the same woman for years
even if they have different faces
No need to push her away as each
time she leaves on her own with
her heart locked safely away from
any chance of pain or real intimacy
One day i'm afraid she'll try to take
it out of the box and find it's turned
to dust in her absence but caring too
much seems to be against the rules
In the end it's all about not being
alone yet i hold to the hope there's
more someday because i'm tired of
hanging Picasso's on bathroom walls
A simple goodbye would have been nice, or even better the reason why you left, guess that would have been too much of a effort for you to do.
Thankyou my friend for sending this to me after we talked last night, you always know how I feel & you are always the one to pick up the pieces of my soul when I decend into the darkness, I am forever grateful to have you in my life.
