where does it say that i have to give in
that i have to just walk away
leave what i know to be true and real
to something i know is fake
where does it say that i have to stop
my heart from loving
living my life
doing what i want to do
just being me
where does it say that i have to go along with crowd
not have my own thoughts
my own feelings
tell me do you know
where it says , who makes the rule
who has the say so
to put us all under an unmoveable thumb
where is the person
that controls the whole thing
where do they live
tell me their name
the heart whispers . hoping that the mind will hear
to tell the soul
that love is the one
love rules us all
