Well, as promised, Tom and I finished off my fighter game last night. The ending sucked, 'least to me it did. ~-~ Because of that, Tom promised a side adventure for Leanna after this accured. Well, here goes...

The now nine of them rode off to the mines to get the final rune stone. When getting there they had to ride a trolley to get to the very top. Then they went inside with Leanna leading since she knew the basics of where the rune was though it had been her husband leading the last time she was there. Along the way they fought some goblins, two robot-like creatures, and a golum. The golum was mad fast...and only one person at a time could fight it. Duncon went first...and got stabbed 12 times before he could move. Then Leanna went up against it. She did rather well...until it knocked her sword away. gonk She then had to run back to the others to keep from being killed. It was finished off and she took back her sword as Gryous got the rune. With that, they left.

<insert infamous badguy clapping> Low-and-behold, the assasin and some of his men were waiting for them. He demanded that Gryous hand the rune to Leanna and Leanna give it to him. After a moment of glaring, he handed it over. Leanna took her sweet time walking to the assasin. He then told her to get on the trolley with him. ~-~ So she did, figuring he'd either kill her himself or that he planned to hand her over to the duke or mage. But Gryous had other plans. He yelled, "NOW!!!" and Nathan jumped onto the trolley as well just as they cut the rope holding the trolley up at the top. The three of them started to roll back down. During this time they fought. Near the end, Nathan got pushed out one of the windows, leaving the two to battle it out. Leanna won but cutting him down and stabbing him with fury to the floor. The sword then became white hot and burst into flames. Leanna had let go as the assasin burned then beems of white light came from his eyes, nose, and mouth. With a burst of light, the assasin was burned to a crisp...to the celing. xd Nathan had survived the fall but Leanna was rolling fast toward a brick wall at the end. She used her rope and grappling hook to stop the trolley. Nathan and the others caught up with her and they proceeded to leave.

<insert infamous badguy clapping> There stood the duke, mage, and about 10,000 fighters. ~-~;; Knowing they'd never be able to survived against this number, Leanna handed over the rune. The mage then took them captive...yay...and all goes black.

Leanna wakes up in a cold, dank, little dungeon cell...and has a flashback in which she and her husband (with their son) had been to this place before to stop Gryous from activated the deadly power at the top tower. The sound of a lock clicking and a door opening brought her back. The theif (one of Gryous' "goons" wink had picked his lock. He then got Leanna out and told her he'd find the others. He then asked her to find his son (the other "goon"...though the son is rather young) and get him out. She agreed and took the key. To help, she brought forth Romulus (she had everything but her weapons) and the two of them went to find the kid. Romulus killed one guard on the way and Leanna took the man's dagger and longsword. She then found Nathan and let him out as well. Nathan then proceeded to find the child and Leanna unlocked the cell. She picked him up and held him close, motherly emotions coming back to her. The four of them ran out to find a way out but everything was sealed up. They met up with Bulvie and Duncon then with the others. Before, they all had felt the great surge of power run through the area but only Leanna knew the great destruction it would cause if they didn't stop it. Basically, it would kill off every living thing in the world, leaving only the ones in the tower alive. So, instead, they made their way up.

<insert infamous badguy clapping stressed > The duke shows up half way up the to top and a fight follows. His sword was deadly...and easily sliced up the theif into several pieces. Duncon only got the tip of his sword cut off. Fight fight fight... Reese was cut badly across the stomach...and inch more and he would have been sliced in half. Out of rage, Bulvie rushed the duke and got in a few hits...then the duke cut off his head. gonk crying Nathan then stepped up and destroyed the duke since he, somehow, still had his magic sword with him. They didn't have time to mourn Bulvie. The mage still waited. So Nathan, Duncon, Leanna, and the child went to the top (the child refused to leave Leanna's side gonk ) after Leanna grabbed the duke's sword to use as her own.

Before this, Leanna had had other flashbacks to the past, all involving the power, Gryous, her husband and herself. Now they stood face to face with the masked mage. He then took off the mask...and there stood Souless, Leanna's husband, but only Leanna knew who he was. The power was growing as they all rushed into the fight. It basically came down to just Leanna and Souless. He was determined to destroy her...but she refused to die. Finally, wish a few good slashes and a stab, Souless caught fire from the power of the sword. With the promise that he would be back, he fell (with the sword) to with death. Flashback...Leanna stood infront of a chained up Gryous, her husband unconcsious at her feet, her son in her arms. "There is a way to stop the destruction," Gryous said, "The blood of an inncent must be spilled." ... Back from her flashback, she held the theif's son in her arms...her dagger held in her hand...

gonk crying If anyone didn't understand the last part, let me explain. First off, Leanna had done all this before, in a sense. Her husband and herself had been sent to stop Gryous and had to take their son with them because they couldn't just leave him somewhere. Well, in the end, to save the world, Leanna had to kill her son. One reason her life is s**t. After this, her husband went mad with rage because of the death of their son. He had come back at one point to kill Leanna (I'm guessing) but didn't do it, simply leaving the dreaded scar on her face as a reminder of what she did. Her husband, now fully out of it, gathers up the runes to destroy the world's population. (My guess was, if he actually did it, he would have used Leanna to basicaly repopulate. gonk ) Instead, Leanna killed him then, to save the world yet again, she had to kill the child. crying

This ending sucked!!! Not only did Bulvie die but Leanna had to kill another child. She would have gladly killed herself but that wouldn't have worked. This is why she's so serious and why she refuses to fall in love or care for another child. I hate tragic endings...
