You pretend she's not there.
Just another face in the crowd.
She doesn't belong.
That's what they all say.
You're afraid to glance into her eyes.
Afraid you'll see more then she's
Willing to tell.
Yet she does not speak. . .
She could wear a painted smile,
Not that it would do any good.
They all just walk on by.
I guess she's not really there.
She could never be popular.
She lives only in the world they
have created for her.
A loud shot echoes in her mind for eternity.
Yet she does not speak.
Never will she have the chance to speak. . .
