Our country runs on some unscruitable truths. Some easily defined and some not so easy. Most often problems occur when ignorance inspirits people with passion enough to express opinions with out just cause. Though you are given the right to any opinion you so wish, it is not always the case that you have the right to express that opinion. The fact that people take the second part as dogmatic law of this country only gives rise to the concern of education and ethics. I am not saying that people do not have the right to their opinions, or that they do not have the right to express them in a mature manner. What I am saying is that people often feel the need to express their opinions even though it is not relevant or even apporiate to do so. What makes an opinion relevant? An opinion is relevant when that opinion can change the perspective of the idea being expressed not only by the person expressing the opinion but also when those affected by the idea are affected. Otherwise the opinion is nothing more then excited background noise. Think things through before you state your opinion. Is what I am saying going to affect the idea in the opinion? Is my opinion reasonably sound? What are my opinions based on?
Sometimes we can make assumptions based on limited information. Insufficent information is more common then one might think. Through life we must make assumptions every day less we become loss in speculation. Hume talks about how all we can really say is that in the past heavy objects have normally fallen when not held up. This does not mean that heavy objects will always continue to fall. I believe it was Chopra who said that at every momment is the possiblity for real knowledge. Every momment holds a life cycle. We are born, age and die all in a heart beat. How many heart beats has it been since the we started reading here? 70 beats per minute, I have been reborn. Our responsibility is to make the most out of each life time here. Blink and you miss a beat.
