Lucky died today, 1/30/08.
Her parents were named Reeses and Spikey. I bought Reeses at an animal store called Animal Hutch and I bought Spikey at Petco. Both died roughly four years ago. Reeses gave birth to five ginuea pigs. One was born dead, unfortunately. Two, Demon and Squeakers, I gave to my cousin. Demon died during her fourth or fifth litter tragically, and Squeakers died about a year ago. Two years ago Explorer died, one of the four babies I kept. Lucky, the other baby we kept, was the runt and wasn't expected to live long. One leg was shorter than the rest and for a while didn't have feeling in it. In 2007 she had cut her eyeball and it got horribly infected. The doctors said it would heal but she wouldn't be able to see. Oddly, the severe wound healed and she could still see. She lived a good life and I miss her and her family terribly. I had seen them since the day they were born with the exceptions of the parents. It also just so happens that we were getting another ginuea pig this weekend, hoping that Lucky would have some company. Unfortunately that won't happen. But I will still be getting the baby ginuea pig because the owners can't find anyone else to take it. So where ever she maybe, I hope she's happy, I even buried her favorite food, celery with her. It may seem stupid to you, but she was important to me. She may have been a ginuea pig, but animals, like humans, have feelings to whether you believe it or not!
