Creatures
•Elves- Elves are graceful beings, majestic. They are usually either very fair, or decently dark, usually nothing in between. Their hair is always straight, and normally kept long, unless kicked out of their village, then they cut off all their hair, as a sign of losing their honor. Men normally keep their hair at their ears or longer. Elfen folk are the only immortal beings that live on mortal ground, but not immortal in a way they can not die. They can, but only in combat. Illness does not affect them, and neither does age. It would be unfortunate to have elves on your foes side in battle, because they are deadly archers. Luckily, for everybody, elves dislike to make contact to the world outside their high mountains, and lushous valley. Though not commonly, sometimes Elves have been known to court with humans, or few other races. Normally when this happens, the elf either abandons their lover and child, and returns to the valley, as if nothing happend... or... they are forever forbidden to return. It is rare to see an elf outside of Enladine.
•Dwarves-Short, stumbley creatures. They are quite skilled smiths, and tend to use axes in battle. They may be small in appearence, but to meet a dwarf in battle would indeed be a challenge to even a great warrior. Dwarves tend to live underground, and do not run any large cities, just Mining Towns, and Trading Posts. They prefer to mine Ebony, and also make their armor out of it. It would be a grand gift to recieve armor made by a droid, would be a grand gift indeed.
•Humans-Typical creatures, everybody knows what they do, and how they look. What sizes and shapes they come in, the color of their hair and eyes. I'm sure even the dumbest creature doesn't require a definition of these beings.
•Cienna-These creatures are of the most beautiful, and graceful there are. They have extended lives, though are not imortal like elves, though they do have their youth until the day they die. Also unlike elves, illnesses can affect these creatures. Their eyes usually only come in redish, black, emerald green, or a deep, shining blue. Ciennas are some what of a cat creatures, normally bearing white or black hair. They have to long fang-like teeth on the top part of their jaw, but the rest of their teeth are normal and flat. They have ears that poke out of their head, usually through their hair unless the creature is bald, and the ears tend to match the colour of their hairs. Ciennas tend to be very tan, and never white, or rarely, their is always a few oddballs, or black sheep, in the group. They are very solitary creatures, and live in forests and woods. They can speak to the trees, and send messages through the air. They are natively strong in magic, every single one, though some prefer to work with weapons also. Ciennas don't tend to live in villages with two sexes, males, and females, are generally seperated. If a woman gives birth to a baby boy, she makes contact for whoever the father was to come and take him away as soon as the baby is one year old. Only during the winter season, do the two travel together, which is when they court each other. During the harsh winters of Villora, it is better to stick in large groups, so the women join the men. Cienna normallu use silver, or Ebony armor. Dwarves respect them, so they trade openly. Cienna hate human, and only like to make outside contact to the Elves and the Dwarves. If one does contact another, they are banned, normally. And never to return to their village.
•Vampires-Elegant, and charming beasts. Though dangerous they may be, not all are as blood-thirsty as they are made out to be. Vampires, in fact, are not fond of human blood at all, the prefer to feed off of mindless animals, such as bears, or stags. Vampires are commonly found working as bounty hunters, for they are very good at it. They have an incredible sense of hearing and scent, but regretabley, they are blind, and find their way around, swiftly, through their other senses. One rumor that is true, is that vampires are not fond of the sunlight hours, though they can tolerate to be out in it for some time. Vampires, and Cienna, are commonly known enemies.
•Teifling- Teiflings are simply humans with a tad bit of demonic/feindish heritage. It simply means that someone who is born a teifling has a fiendish ancestor, and usually it was nobles of a certain kind who seemed to mate with the fiends. They usually are born with small horns, red eyes, fangs, or other such trademarks to note their heritage, and everyone is prejudice against them, though these physical attributes are slight and each one is different for each Teifling depending on what their feindish ancestor was. Teiflings are known for being dark and mischevious, and their powers help them for Teiflings are naturally gifted with a little bit of dark and shadow magic at birth because of their mixed heritage. Most don't like them, and many are killed at birth because of this, so a live Teifling is about as rare as an albino human. That being said, there are no really Teifling that is well known, with perhaps one or two exceptions. They are normally in hiding, and often have to hide their physical traits from others, although they get along with most races fine. Their only true enemies are those of holy or light, for they are unfortunately somewhat weak against holy magic because of them being descended from rather unholy or normally evil beings.
•Solonn- The solon are a race descended from the stuff of legend, elementals, animate forces of nature. As their lore describes, they contained their ever-shifting forms in powerful armored bodies, and a race of living constructs. they where organized in 3 "Rings", each with four clans in it; as follows. Fire-earth-Water-Wind; Thunder-lava-frost-wood; Light-shadow-force-spirit.
The first ring is the highest, the rulers of the Solonn. Members of it's clans are the master crafters, crown warriors, and great scholars. The second ring's members are the more common crafters, the fighters, and the general workers and explorers. The third ring is the elitists, they gaurd, discover, and predict.
Solonn's were basically immortal as elves and such-they are made of elemental force and metal bodies, neither of which are easily destroyed. Depending on the tribe, they thrived at many things...but above all, they were great crafters and warriors, and just in their judgements, almost to a fault.
they have also not been seen in centuries. Depending on the tribe, the form and powers of a Solonn varied greatly; fire took the shape of warriors, earth being titanic beings of battle, wind dragonic in shape, water sleek and finned. All Solonn can use magical powers by means of unleashing their inner elemental as a mystical force; called "mana".
•Void Spirit (human name)-These people call themselves "Intenga Kuluvia" which means "The People Under the Stars" (or Intenga- "The People" for short). They are increadibly long-living beings which appear as pieces of the night sky molded into human shape and outlined in a faint color. They possess no magic abilities, but have innate psionic abilities that can create barriers that can be shaped to fit different needs (a dome for a shield, a sword for a weapon) and can change their external appearance to better blend in wherever they are (for example Sarest could appear as part of a bush if he didn't have clothes over himself and chose that covering).
As a people, Intenga are very peaceful and abhor fighting. They live in a tribal society with elders, shamans, and prophets as their leaders. They travel around their lands in groups consisting of a few families, occasionally travelling with other groups if they cross paths. Their land is actually a huge expanse of desert with silvery-white sands under a never-ending, moonless night. These lands are found far beyond the Dead Lands of Xyndor, beyond where any human, elf, etc. have travelled. Intenga do not consume normal food as their deserts are devoid of all life or nutrients besides themselves, instead they absorb light for nourishment (causing the aforementioned super-charging and subsequent crash in bright sunlight). They, however, are able to eat plants, but not animals or animal byproducts (it causes a nasty reaction in them).
•Archnia- They are basically arachnid people, they have an outward human appearance, though they are very beautiful, all of them have white hair, but different features, the men are usually tall and slim, while the women are curvy and busty. Long hair is considered very beautiful in there race, since it grows very slowly. They are a very peaceful race, though they can be very dangerous, you see, they have the insides of arachnids, they eat liquidized food, have extream strength since spiders do, only arachnias are proprotionally bigger then normal spiders, so there strength is scary, they are also very fast. There skin is hyper sensitive though, so pain or pleasure felt is more painful or pleasurable to them then anyone. the women in there race are usually the generals and high in the warrior class, similar to female spiders, they are stronger and tougher then the males, though the males still can be warriors. They are also a very secretive race, not wanting to get into others affairs.
•The Dragohai-Long ago, during the creation of the world, the almighty gods of the newborn world created the creatures upon the land yet they knew that there would need to be guardians of the sacred powers. Thus, one of their most sacred of creations, the dragons, were selected to keep a constant vigil over the world for their creators. Each of the four flights, the Red, Blue, Green and Black Dragonflights were granted the powers of the elements Fire, Water, Wind and Earth respectively and charged with watching over the world and the flow of fate and time. The dragons were granted a great amount of adaptability to their world for survival. As such, dragons came in all shapes and sizes but also came with many different physical variations including but not limited to, winglessness, leglessness, diminutive size, blindness etc. Also, if dragons from different flights mate then their offspring will be a mixed color of their parents, and though they will be able to control the elements of both parents their powers are weakened due to the mixing and further mixing of a mixed breed creates weaker and weaker control over the elements til they no longer can command an element.
Over time, the dragons kept a vigil over the mortal races and did their best to watch without interference... until the mortals began to shape the world to their fit their vision. Fearful of the dragons who freely roamed the world, the mortals began to hunt the great creatures down until the skies were empty and the ground forgot the footsteps of the dragons. While most mortals believe that the dragons are nothing more than what's left in stories and myths, this is not true. Long ago, in a desperate attempt to save themselves from being hunted to extinction, the dragons learned the art of shapeshifting and thus hid themselves amongst the mortal races while still keeping the flow of fate going. Some opted to live out quiet lives in small communities while others have taken some of the most prestigious and important positions in the mortal realms. To keep in contact with one another concerning the flow of fate, the dragons banded together to form the Dragohai Council. Through this council, information would be traded between the flights and in times where the entirety of the world or dragonkind is threatened, declare war.
Each flight though is ruled by its own pair of rulers, a Broodfather and a Dragonqueen. When either the Broodfather or the Dragonqueen fall in battle, the survivor of the pair will choose a new mate out of the brood and endow the new mate with all the powers associated with the position. With each Dragonflight governed by two rulers, the Dragonqueen is usually the one who stays behind to rule the brood while the Broodfather goes off into the world to monitor the flow of fate.
Blue Dragonflight-Ruled by the venerable High Sapphire Broodfather Liquilimarx and the Sapphire Dragonqueen Valygosas, these watchful dragons command their might over the element of water. It is these dragons that determine whether or not a land is turned from a fertile farmland into a dusty desert or rivers feed away from a city or swallow it whole. Their lair is within the Frozen Wastelands of the South where blizzards constantly blast over the frozen landscape. Should one brave the cold and snow to find the dragons, they will also brave the frozen might of the Blue Flight as well.
Red Dragonflight-Ruled by the wild High Ruby Broodfather Furian and the Ruby Dragonqueen Zeraelstraza, these might drakes command the sacred fire and the warm blood of the world itself. It is these dragons that force the fire of the world to the surface to create new land and set fire to the forests to burn away the old and to allow new life to rise from the ashes. Their lair is hidden somewhere amongst the sand of the Great Eastern Desert where the sun beats down constantly and life is scarce on the burning sand. If one were to survive the scorching heat of the desert to seek the dragons then they must face the fires of the Red Flight as well.
Black Flight-Ruled by the patient High Obsidian Broodfather Neltharus and the Obsidian Dragonqueen Ebonaras, these patient and observant dragons wield power over the very land itself and control the shape of the world. It is these dragons that carve great canyons and crevasses into the land and force untold amounts of rock up from below the surface to form entire mountain ranges and volcanoes. Their lair is someone upon the highest peak in the world where the air is thin and the air is cold enough to freeze the air any mortal breaths. Should one get pasts these challenges and brave the dizzying heights of the mountain, they must still face the waiting Black Flight at the peak.
Green Flight-Ruled by the unpredictable High Emerald Broodfather Erikrasus and the Emerald Dragonqueen Yseris, these wispy and untamable dragons control the powers of the wind and the air itself. It is these dragons who bless the sails of sailors to sail into their home ports and curse the land with endless windstorms that tear farmlands and towns apart. Their lair is rumored to be a great city hidden high above the clouds of the world built by the ancient powers that once ruled the world before giving up their rule to the dragons. If anyone were able to find a way to the city in the sky and brave the fierce winds surrounding the city then they must face the boundless fury of the Green Flight.
•Fallen Warriors-These being are more commonly know as Dark Angels, though in truth, there is nothing dark about them. They vary from light, to dark angels, but none of them have bad intentions. A Fallen Warior is an Angel from heaven, sent down to help establish peace, or make things right.
These beutiful, and majestic creatures vary in many different appearences. All, every one of them, is beautiful. Not one would be un-attractive to another race. Hair color range from a fiery red, to the purest of whites, from the blues of the bottomless sea, to the black of the night. The eyes they see through are varied from whites to black, to blues, to reds. They can practically look like anything. Skin tends to be flawless, and ranges from fair, to a deep tanned olive tone. CLothing? Well it varies from anything, they are free to wear what they desire.
One thing that isn't so unpredictable, it their wings. Wings can be shapes differently and of different spans, but they only range from grays, to whites, to blacks. Also, they are completely immortal. Never can they be killed, you must drain their power from them to defeat one, or weaken them. Most take them prisoner since they can not die.
Most Fallen Warriors are part of a secret orginization known as the Order of Angels. There is no secret meaning to the name, for most of its members are Angels, and rarely has another race been accepted into the Order. They are mysterious, impossible to locate, and a rebellion to all things they decide is not righteous. In this case, some of them have decided to side with Dargan, and some, with Villora... though they have their differences, the most important law of the Order of Angels, is; Do not kill, thy brother. Therefore, no Fallen Warrior, is to kill the next, no matter the situation.
•Kitsune- Kitsune are the spirits of foxes, and thus most have no real physical form of their own. They are found anywhere and everywhere a fox can be found. They have shape shifting powers and are amazing illusionists. They are also known to cast dimensional spells, creating small universes in closed spaces, like holes, cabinets, and other spaces of that type. These dimensions usually have a large estate, owned by the spirit, and even have servants. The most known ability of kitsune is the ability to create kitsune-bi, or fox fire, while one that is suspected is the power to control plant life, which causes some farmers to worship certain kitsune.
Kitsune are known by many names, the best known being youko. The wisest kitsune are the kyuubi, whom are bordering on all knowing. They show an eerie level of intelligence, and border on clairvoyance. For example they know the names of all the people they will meet in their life times. The kitsune known as Tenko, are considered holy, and are often seen protecting temples. These kitsune are of the purest white fur, and have markings that show which god from the land Kitsune originally came from they serve or receive power from.
Kitsune are capable of absorbing elemental essences for energy, giving them an almost unlimited power source. They can also drain energy from humans, if the touch them. The most valued essence for a kitsune is the human soul, which must be given willingly. A soul that a kitsune feeds on gain access to heaven when the body dies, for kitsune won't consume the whole soul, but take bits of it and let it restore it's self before feeding again.
Kitsune are very playful, and often play childish pranks, such as dumping water on someone's head. An example of a kitsune prank occurs when one accidentally disturbs a kitsune no yomeiri, or a fox's wedding, at which time, the kitsune will make it rain on a cloudless day.
As spirits, kitsune can be controlled should the wrong person gain knowledge of their names, thus they often use a false name. Powerful kitsune, though they still take this cautionary step for protection, are capable of killing the one who tries to control them.
