Today started my countdown to Halloween. This afternoon I'm hoping to start gathering together some of the raw materials I'll be using in this year's display so that I can start putting things together. The goal is to have everything we need ready to go by October first, and then we can start putting it all together on weekends, have it all out early.

The branches I need are all out int he backyard, so I'll gather those up today, and soon get my twine. Dad's going to start asking around for bones, and he's hoping to get a bear skull. We've got some of the big props we need already, and in the next couple of weeks we'll start to buy the little things we don't already have like cobwebs, fake eyeballs, and hopefully a couple of ravens. Then we'll look into setting up a cauldron with some dry ice. The fog machine is down stairs, as are the glowing monster feet.

This is going to be awesome fun.
