When I was about 7, I didn't have that much friends.... and also I was the dork...
I was watching t.v. when I saw this ad about a modeling contest for kids through teens. I was thinking... Maybe if I entered this and if I make it in.... I would really popular and not be the dork!
I asked my parents to take me to the hotel that the contest was holding at... So we drove down there. I was in a cute dress... my hair was short by then... But since it was so long ago.. I really don't remember what my dress looked like..
Once we arrived over there I was so excited.... We went inside this room that every boy and girl... from 5-16... I think it was sixteen, was sitting down on some chairs... I sat down between my mom and dad and waited to be called....
Time went on..
It was my turn now to be interviewed. This guy asked me my name, age, and my favorite t.v. show from this paper I filled out... He asked me to talk like scooby doo.. So I did, he laughed and told me you are a really sweet nice girl, then told me to go back and have a seat....
Time went on again....
After all the contestants were done and the judging... They started announcing the winners by numbers. that made it in the modeling career...
I was shaking... my mom looked at me...
Then... My number got called. I looked at my mom and dad... I was smiling so much and jumping up and down... After all the numbers were called that made it in.. I got a video and some papers.
I went home and placed the video in my vcr... The video was talking about the modeling and stuff... then it came down to the payment of the agent.... It was around $3,000.... My family couldn't not afford that much money.. So my parents told me I couldn't do it.... So I continued being the dork...
years flew by... I started having lots of friends.... Not just because I won a modeling contest.. But being just myself...
You see, models have a lot of things that they have to do... And they mostly don't spend time at home that much. And if you turn out to be a model...People will think you're spoiled...I'm not trying to be rude to those who are a model out there...
Anyways... The point of this journal was that..... since the payment of a agent was so expensive, I'm glad my parents said no... .cause if they said yes... I wouldn't have my best friends that I have right now... around me.

Unless you were a super great kids actor that was totally georgous.
(Like breath taking beautiful, not saying you aren't pretty...)
And most of the people I know that are models are great people.
They do charity events (I know some do it for their name in the paper), write great funny diet books, and are pretty nice people.
You don't become popular by being in a commercial either..
7 year olds, man, they're evil lil' sonsofabitchs.
