Well people who said yes, then
scream ARE YOUR HEADS ON STRAIGHT?! scream
Just kidding.
But in anycase, this month, the series I'd like to present is,
"Neo Angelique Abyss"!
blaugh Wai~! blaugh
This series was based upon a shojou game in Japan
which explains all of the hot bishies!!
heart (FAY IS STILL MY NUMBER ONE THOUGH!) heart
This anime/game is similar to "Kiniro no Corda" or better known as
"La Corda d' Oro" to the anime fans.
Same old same old, one lucky girl, several hot guys,
3nodding yeah, it's good to be alive... 3nodding
*Ahem* So this series was originally created by KOEI
who actually created the games along with titles like,
the other Angelique games, Kiniro no Corda, and Harukanaru Toki no Naka De
Yes many dating sims that were in english...
But going back to the anime.
The story revolves around a young girl named, Angelique,
who aparently posesses a very special purification power.
The world that she lives in is swarmed by terrifying creatures known
as Thanatos that drain peoples' lives.
However, certain people in the world of Arcadia posess the power
to rid the Thanatos.
These people are known as Purifiers.
One of these Purifiers aproaches Angelique and tells her that
she has the potential of that of a Purifier.
She first activates her power when she desprately wanted
to save her friends and her school from a Thanatos attack.
When she does, her purification power was not, "normal".
In fact her purifying power was that had only been told in legends.
She is the "Queen's Egg".
From there her journey comences and she meets more guys
that are part of this Purifier organization
and finds herself living with them and leaving her school life behind.
Her fellow "Aube Hunters" include:
Nyx: The gentleman that found her at school and told her of her purifier potential.
He uses a whip as his weapon of choice and is the "leader" of the Aube Hunters.
However, he holds a darker secret...
heart Rayne heart : A young and genius boy of 18. He was a scientist working for his brother before he became a Purifier.
His choice weapon is a gun and harbors feelings for Angelique.
He holds a hard past.
J.D.: An artifact (artificial life) who has a kind heart and cares for his friends.
He is extremely strong and can withstand punches and such that would kill a normal person.
J.D. is considered a "defective product" since he developed feelings, which a machine shouldn't.
Hyuuga: A former "Silver Knight" who serves Angelique well.
He refers to her as "Lady Angelique" or "Angelique-sama" in Japanese.
(At the end of the first season, she "orders" him to call her just by her name since they are all friends.)
He uses a spear and has had a rough early life.
So as the story continues on, they group travels around to rid the world of
the threat of Thanatos.
However, the Aube Hunters must face the Consortium,
An organization that specializes in using artifacts and studies to try to rid Thantos.
As good as this organization sounds, they use very destructive means.
The group also travels to the "Organisation",
or the Holy Capital where the Silver Knights reside.
Throughout the story, Angelique and her friends have to face
difficult trials like, facing their pasts.
This story primarily surrounds the safe keeping of the "Queen's Egg"
aka Angelique.
However, the primary "antagonist" is the source of the Thanatos or
Erebos.
The road is hard but it can't be too bad if
you have bishies with you right?
Personally, I like this series,

But in anycase,
the romance in this series is to a minimum since
the anime has to be biased towards the couples.
(They just don't want to be bombarded by hate mail...)
Me? I like the pairing of Rayne and Angelique but
the anime is pointing towards more of Nyx and Angelique
(Which I am going to be pissed at if they end up together...)

So my rating for this series is a 8.9/10.
The series started in April 2008 and the first season ended in June 2008.
However, the second season, "Neo Angelique Abyss Second_Age"
began July 2008 and is currently ongoing...
Each seson has 13 episodes making a grand total of 26!
