The child splashes in the puddle
Waiting for the rainbow
So naive yet oh so wise
To such a tainted world
Autumn leaves brush the cheek
Of the mightly willow
Asking why it hangs so low
yet it will never answer
Rain Rain go away
The sun can not come through
The child in the window wishes
for a brighter noon
a place where angel glide
along the vibrant petals
Where people dream
and toungs are clean
along the vivid rainbow
Rain Rain why must you
be so murky and unsure
Long ago
when i was
that child in the window
Your drops were pure
you puddles clear
you glistened with the sunlight
But time will not release
its careless prisoners
The rain is dark and tainted
Sun rays refuse to show
