The thunder roars and the tears are invisible from my soaked cheeks.
I stare up at the soaring gray clouds, remembering when I would pray
That the blessed rain would come and run its fingers through my hair
Now i watch in agony, pain and sorrow
The rain never changed, the clouds are hardly different, the sky behind it is still the cleanest blue I've ever known
So why have the gentle touch of these angels happiest tears turned to bullets against my skin.
The pain it brings drags my to the Earths surface
The moist dirt below pounding with my heart, shaking with my body
The world is still turning
The sun is still shining behind these billows of clouds
The people I know haven't change
So what happened
What happened to me
My tears water the grass under my freezing cheek, the wind blows lightly
Almost picking me from the ground itself
The distance is fogged
My path I have already traveled from, clear, and so regretted
They told me it was the right one
It was suppose to lead to happiness
Maybe not exactly what I wanted
But the mere fact of happiness
It's what she needed
What I needed
What I crave so desperately
I pray for a light only to receive more shadow
Am I that dangerous, cruel and uncaring
That even my best efforts to bring happiness to as many as I can
Just to try to make things a little better
Ended so tragic
I only made things worse
So what now
When I try I hurt people, and myself
When I don't I'm useless
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
It's fading
It faded
It's gone
