As the pink fire rose I opened my eyes slowly only to be met by Konoro's. His eyes filled with tenderness. Something I have never seen in his eyes before. He softly brushed my cheek with his hand.
Konoro: You have awoken.
Symara: Yes.
Konoro wraps arms around me and holds me close to him. My eyes grow wide in surprise.
Konoro: I was afraid I had lost you.
Symara: Konoro....
Konoro: What had happened to you?
He pulls away a little and looks into my eyes.
Konoro: Why did you collaspe like that?
Symara: Konoro....
I sigh and explain to him the reason for my being weak. As I speak he listens while his eyes tell me he understands. After I was finished he smiled at me.
Konoro: I never thought you would have a weakness... I shall stay with you and protect you during those nights.
Symara: You do not have to do this.
Konoro: I know....but....I want to.
I smile at his words. Konoro's eyes fill with surprise then he smiles at me.
Konoro: Ha... You can show emotions.
Symara: Yes. I never said I could not.
Konoro: I know but this is surprising.
Symara: We should by on our way... We still have a few others who wish to kill us...
Konoro: True... Let us go then. Bring the battle to them instead.
Konoro grins as he says this. He stands and helps me up. I let go of his hand.
Symara: That would be a change of pace. Let us then.
We smile at eachother and take off into the morning's light.
