Name | Mykola Bohdan (Mye-cola Bow-dahn)
Gender | Male
Age | 17
Occupation | Student
Sexual Preference | Gay
Appearance | Mykola is fairly tall, standing roughly at five feet and eleven inches, though he's not at all lanky. His smile is wide, complementing the high cheekbones he got from his mother. If he smiles genuinely, his grey eyes dance, but if his smile is fake, his eyes turn into the calm grey of an incoming hurricane.
Mykola spent a great deal of his time outdoors, and has tan, almost brown, skin to prove it. The combination of his brown skin and choppy black hair is almost unnerving, but the playfulness of the blond highlights within the sea of black takes away some of the intimidation from his looks. He has a fairly toned body, but not enough to make him appear as if he was a WWE wrestler.
His hands are delicate, with long, tapered fingers, from playing the piano so often. He keeps his nails fairly short, but when he decides he doesn't care about how long they are, the nails can be envied by manicurists. He shaves his legs, because he has been training to get on the swimming team. He also has no visible hair on his chest or arms.
Personality | Mykola, at first glance, appears to be obsessive compulsive about anything he touches, but if one gets to know the brunet, one can see that he merely enjoys having control of the environment he lives in. His most unique feature is that he can blend in with almost any crowd, and enjoy it, mostly due to the fact that he loves people.
Mykola's major problem is anger, as when he gets angry, he cracks under the smallest pressure. He hardly ever takes his anger out on anyone, but inanimate objects tend not to survive the encounter. His main pet peeve is the one thing that will send him over the edge, and that's when someone assumes that they know him, and attempt to become his friend without letting him have any say in the matter.
He loves being outside in any weather, though he prefers a nice rainshower when he hikes, as the rain will keep the bugs away. He also enjoys being near any body of water large enough to swim in. The only time Mykola dislikes being outside is when he is in wide, open spaces. He suffers from severe agoraphobia, mainly from being caught in the middle of nowhere during a tornado. He also dislikes dogs, bees, lizards, and spiders, the first two due to allergies, the latter two due to personal experiences.
Mykola is exceptionally good at any physical science subject (i.e. Physics and Chemistry) and playing the piano and guitar. His hobbies include swimming, dancing, and photography. He has a habit of taking his camera everywhere he goes, and snapping random perspective shots.
Biography | Mykola doesn't remember much about his childhood (he just doesn't have a good memory), save for his best and worst memories. His favorite memory is the first Christmas he spent with his baby sister when he was five years old. That memory is closely followed by touring Europe with his family during his last year of Junior High. His worst memory is of his first roadtrip alone, when his car got jackknifed by another, and he broke his left shoulder, forearm, and collarbone. His next worst memory comes in a distant second, when he got caught in an F-3 hurricane in Oklahoma in the middle of nowhere. He took shelter with twenty other people under a freeway overpass, and was unharmed. Ever since then, he'd been afraid of open spaces.
His family life was fairly normal, though he was a latchkey kid for most of his school years. His father, Andriy Bohdan, worked at the local mineral mine, leaving for work in the early morning and coming back before supper. His mother, Hanna Bohdan (formerly Stajya), worked for an advertising company, and left for work after dropping Mykola off at school, and returning late at night.
Mykola chose to transfer to Clairview High because his previous high school wasn't enough of a challenge for him, and he believed Clairview would be a welcome change of pace.
Other | Mykola is somewhat embarrassed about his name, which is a native Ukrainian name (both his mother and father were born in Ukraine), but his sister wasn't able to pronounce it when she was little, and called him 'Mikey' instead. The nickname, though it appears laughable to some, is much less embarrassing than 'Mykola'. The nickname was adopted by his previous friends, and has stuck.
