what a lovely words you sow
falling gently as this downy snow
eyes as sad as falling stars
bright as headlights from passing cars
the black winding road
twisting softly to and fro
disappearing into darkness
where no one ever goes
this is the road i roam
this pathway far from home
what lays beyond this world
softly snoring, waiting curled?
my scarf flaps wildly in vain
to escape asphalt in the rain
i think of you
the snow melts to morning dew
your smile is the daybreak
and the promises i make
i make to you alone
my one and only home.
