(Warning really really long summary XD So yeah if you don't like it don't bother reading it and just go down to my review) This breathtaking series is about the life and reign of Yi San, the 22nd monarch of Joseon, who took the name King Jeong Jo upon his ascension to the throne. He made many reforms during his reign, doing away with all the old traditions of status being considered of greater worth than intelligence and morality, he repressed the wealthy ministers' customs or bribery and suppression of the people, and he allowed illegitimate children of noblemen to hold high government positions, a first in Korean history. Today, King Jeong Jo is regarded as one of the best monarchs of Korea, ranking along with King Sejong, the inventor of hangul.
This series also tells the story of the great love between the king and Sung Song Yeon, a young girl with a talent for art. They had been friends since childhood, and in the end, Song Yeon becomes a royal concubine, Lady Sung.

I must say that the summary is so not descriptive and also gave a spoiler D: Curses. Well when I first read it I was really bored but gave it a try anyway. (I was really a big fan of Korean Historical Dramas so it didn't matter as long if it has romance and a love triangle its fine) I got to say at the beginning it was interesting but later on it got boring and I was skipping parts until I was on episode 16. Now it really interest me. I am right now obsess with it and still pretty far behind. I must catch up with this. I'll say this has a lot of episodes. You better find the time to watch it all because its still continuing. Thank you and have a nice day~
