A Vampire's Heart
Chapter 4
My eyes poped open indisbelief. As soon as his blood hit my tonge I was in a trance. It was deliscious! I wasn't thinking and began licking the blood up more, even though Wesley stirred.
It was hard to describe, a salty sweetness that is hard to not think about.
Then, without thinking, my fangs unleashed and I bit down into Wesley's ankle.
This blood was even more sensational! Fresh from the vein.
I felt so.....calm.......
"What the....." I heard a murmer and relized Wesley was awake.
"What the?! Jaine, what the Hell are you doing?!" He snapped.
He tried shaking his leg to get me off, but I didn't let go.
"His blood tastes soo good!......." I thought.
Then he growled and his fist connected to my face.
I fell backwords. Wesley grabbed his ankle, looking white.
I myself was a little surprised of my actions.
"Wesley!...I'm......" I tried to talk.
"Don't talk Jaine! Not one word!" He snapped and ripped a peice of his shirt off.
It was lying on the ground, already dirty, so he didn't care if he ruined it. He wrapped the cloth around his ankle.
"What were you doing, Jaine? You could've killed me." He said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, honest......" I whispered wipping blood off my chin.
Wesley glarred at me and turned around.
As he was turned, I quickly licked the blood off my hand and lips.
"Oh! What's happening? I'm becoming addicted to Wesley's blood!" I thought in horror, but as I licked up the last drop, I sighed.
"It was so good though....... it was like a new kind of candy." I thought.
Wesley looked back at me, clearly upset and confused at what I did.
"So..... did I hurt you?" I asked.
Wesley sat down, and there was a long silence.
"I must've hurt him." I thought.
"Actually, it may sound weird, but it actually felt...... good." Wesley whispered.
I looked at him.
"What? But I bit into an open wound! That's got to hurt!" I said.
"I know, it should've, but it didn't, it felt good...... All the pain went away and I felt..... unnaturally calm." He whispered.
"That's the same way I felt! That's creepy..." I thought horrified.
Wesley stood up.
"Let's go, and no more biting." He said.
To my surprise, I smirked at him.
"Me? Smiling at the pup? Hmm.... I guess he isn't so bad. He's definetly delicious! Oh my God! I sound like a whore! But his blood is soo good..." I thought distractingly.
"Jaine! Let's go!" Wesley snapped me out of my trance.
I shook my head and followed him.
As we baan to walk, Wesley kept glancing over at me, with an uncertain look in his eyes.
"Trust me Wesley, I wont bite you. That wasn't on purpose, I was still hungry I guess. Besides, your blood doesn't even taste that good." I said.
He raised one eyebrow, and turned away.
"'your blood doesn't even taste that good'?! That's like saying I'm not a vampire! So untrue!" I thougth to myself.
-----
"Jaine. Stop moving." Wesley said.
I stopped this time.
"Another trap?"
"No. I smell him." Wesley growled.
"Him?" I whispered, but I knew who he was talking about.
I looked up at Wesley's face. He had an anger flaring in his eye that I've never seen before.
"It's definetly him. And he's close." Wesley whispered and leaned down to untie his ankle. It was soaked in blood again, but he stopped bleeding finally.
He tossed the bloody rag away and stood up.
"Stay here Jaine, I'm gonna scope the surroundings, if it's safe, I'll come back for you. If I don't come get you within an hour, go back to the castle and tell Vex." Wesley said.
"My mind was on the bloody rag a foot away from me, but I quickly shook my head and looked up at him.
"Wesley, I'm going with you." I said standing up.
"Not this time Jaine. You wait here. I'll come back." Wesley said.
"I'm princess and I'm ordering you to take me along!" I snapped.
Wesley looked at me.
"I'm sorry Jaine, but that's one order I cannot follow. Riley is out to kill me, no one else. It's the Tempter demon that is out to get Vex.
Their teaming up, if I kill Riley, I'll have nothing to worry about and then I'll be able to help end this war. The tempter demon will have no one to feed off of. Do you understand Jaine?" He whispered.
I blinked.
Wesley grabbed my shoulders.
"I mean it Jaine! Stay here!" Wesley growled.
It wasn't an anger growl though, I looked into his hazel eye and saw worry.
He was worried about me.
"You're worried about me aren't you?" I asked in disbelief.
"Of course I am..., You're the princess." He sighed and turned around.
I blinked a couple times.
"Because I'm the princess? That's all?" I thought and watched him walk away.
As soon as he left I ran to his rag. It was still damp, so I sucked out all of the blood.
"God, I am addicted to his blood......" I thought.
I threw the rag into the river, and sat down.
I closed my eyes and tried to listen.
It was completely silent. Except....... I heard a faint howl.
My eyes poped open. That was a werewolf battle cry, but it wasn't Wesley's.
I sat up and looked around nervously.
There were footsteps getting closer to me.
My heart slowly started to beat, then suddenly, something came out of the bushes.
I screamed.
"Jaine!" The wolf snapped, but it wasn't a wolf!
I looked, and saw..... Angelus!!
"Angle?!" I gasped loudly.
