before i write a poem i like to say what the poem's going to be about, what inspired me to write it. so here it is, plain and simple; while gazing into my lover's eyes, i saw stars there. (trippy no?) i am completly comfortable telling you all this in a completly public journal because, hell none of you know me. this piece of work that i am about to share with you is not in any way known to me yet. i am writing it here, without any guide or plan, just like pouring water over a cliff, i have no idea where it will land. so here we go, enjoy.
things tend to leave
things go away
never does any real thing stay
every steadfast tree must rot
every lover turn to dust
things never stay
love never leaves though
it stays
dripping its emotion and memory into the fabric of life
like a star burning in the infenet heavens
love is like a star
bright, careing and it can guide you home
but unlike stars
love never burns out
love will never turn to starless night
love outlasts all of the things in this, material world
and all in this material heaven
as long as my soul remembers the stars in your eyes
our love will never die
