He sleeps by night and wakes by dawn with new dew upon green grasses. Though all his misfortunes his eyes burn crimson with his heart's fire inside. He sees his shadowing storm, a witch's curse, brewing coldly unlike his soul. Where ever he went a storm approached causing havoc and pain to unsuspecting mortals. He wished to help; but dare not come close.
His pain and anguish at what he caused and this curse he loathed
left him alone and with no hope. A child quite loving wanted to comfort this lonely old dragon. With a book and a heart so sweet the child ventured near not bothered by the storm and read to the dragon day after day the wonderful stories its pages held. His heart finding peace at this simple child's love he gave a gift no other would. A Dragon's scale, beautiful colors such as crimson and flaming orange that glittered as diamonds, the kind dragon said to the child, "Let not others force you down, for you have the heart of the proud dragons mighty and strong. Then with those last words he breathed his last flame into the day's skies so unhampered by night, and turned to an egg, a pearl dragon egg, left for the child's small hands to grasp along with his scale until his lonely friend emerged again.

After note: Yes I know they have no names. Yes I like it that way.
I felt like writting a story about dragons. I don't care if you think it sucks.
This was based on nothing and written under 7 minutes *I feel lazy and kind of on edge because my dad had gone outside banged on my window and ******** scared me!*yes I used a damn bad word* I want to crawl in the fetal position and scream like hell, but I can't because then I'd be grounded for shorting my grandmother's life by 6 years. I'm done ranting and want to thank you for reading this. xd
