The Fire


The other day I met someone
He gave me something that was fun
He wanted give it all away
And what it was he would not say

I took it out and let it loose
And what it was was not confused
Everything engulfed in flames
Entire cities crushed to plains

And so you come and so I go
You'll never stop I'll never know
Enjoy what my kind heart will bring
For as I kill the angels sing

There’s no telling when I turn
And there’s no stopping what I burn
I burn it all it all comes down
Engulfing this entire town

The water comes to wash away
But forever is where I stay
I've seen it all from start to end
And through it all I found a friend

And so you come and so I go
You'll never stop I'll never know
Enjoy what my kind heart will bring
For as I kill the angels sing

The fire comes and torches all
Every building's made to fall
It all burns down and now it ends
The fire is my only friend

I stand upon this wasteland here
Everyone has run in fear
The flames will come and here I stand
Devoted to this hellish land

I stood right here so long ago
What I'd do I did not know
Now I can see my mistake
And so my soul the flames will take
