Rain

Its raining out,
The sky is dark,
The patio deck is soaked,
The ground is damp,
The patio door is opening,
And I'm stepping out,
To stand in the rain,
Walk down the steps,
Stand on the ground,
In the middle of the yard,
Tilt my head up,
And let the rain fall down across my face,
Close my eyes,
And just stand there,
Feeling my hair become moist,
A few minutes later,
The rain stops,
Then I slowly walk back inside,
In my soaked clothes,
My mother comes and see's what I've been doing,
Shock runs across her face,
When she see's my soaked clothes,
And all I do is smile weakly..
