You cut yourself
To prove the pain
That you have felt
You watch the blood drain
Over your fingertips
And down your hand
Through your tears
How can you say I don't understand?
You say this helps you
But you don't realize
How much it's killing me
And how I'm dying inside
To watch you sit there
A seraded pistol on the ground
You're looking at it so cautiously
Like it's the holy grail that you've found.
You don't even notice how much it pains me to see
The scars you've left on yourself
You say it lets you be free.
How can you say that?
And with truth in your eyes
I can't listen to this anymore
My ears pierced by the lies
My eyes sore from the sights
Bloodshot and red
Like your left wrist
My blue blood has been bled.
My body is numb
I can not move
My heart stops beating
You have nothing to prove
I get what you're going through
You don't think I've seen it all?
You say you're so tough
I've gone through more than you
But I don't wear
The silver on my sleeve
I'm sorry you won't listen.
I'm not telling you to heed
My words or my feelings
You think it's all wrong
Then cut through me like scissors or paper
Since it's my soul that you're stealing
Every time you bring the poison
Closer and closer into your skin
The more I can't reach out to you
And help what ever you still hold within.
To all "emos" Or those whom actually slit their wrists. I know you don't care what I think and I'm aware it's not my buisness, but you have to understand when I say I've gone through it all, I really mean it. I don't think cutting yourself is the best way to solve a problem and I have too many friends that hurt themselves through this stupid act. Don't listen to me, no I couldn't understand. Whatever you want, I've tried to help, if you don't get what you're doing, maybe someone close to you does.
