The Lost Demon
Chapter 14
"No!" I gasped and threw myself at Asikari.
"There is one good thing about studying demons!" I growled. Asikari looked up at me. "I know your weak spots!" I snapped and punched him as hard as I could in his throat. (A demon's esophagus grows weak in order for the smoke in Hell to enter more easily and use that as oxygen. Since it is so weak, one punch is enough to completely close it and sufficate a demon)
Asikari's eyes grew wide as his face went blue almost.
I forgot completely about him and began running down the feiry path, forgetting about the smoke and the constant coughs in my throat.
I tasted blood in my mouth now, from coughing so much, but I didn't stop running.
"Please be alright Prise!" I thought.
"Prise!" I screamed as I entered the room.
I saw Sin standing over Prise with Kirai at his side.
"Lord Sin!" A voice was coming from behind me. It was some girl demon.
Sin was scowling at me.
"What is it Dharba?" He asked with a snarl.
"Asikari is dead!" She snapped and glared at me.
Sin's eyes blazed with hatred as he left Prise's side and came at me.
I tried to run, but he was beside me in a second.
"You killed Asikari! You killed him!" Sin roared.
"Dharba! Kirai! Tie her up!" Sin threw me at Kirai.
I tried to struggle as Kirai and Dharba dragged me to a wall and tied me up.
"Dawn!.....No!" Prise screamed as he noticed what was going on.
Sin's eyes blazed with hatred as he looked at me.
"You shall die mortal!" Sin's eyes began to glow.
I shut my eyes tightly.
"No!!!" I heard something hit and a loud gushing sound, but I felt nothing.
I opened my eyes and saw Damu! He was decapitated before my eyes.
His head was lying near my feet as his body collapsed to the floor.
"What?!" Kirai and Sin both gasped at the same time.
Smoke shrouded Damu's body, and formed another him, but made out of grey smoke.
"His.....soul?" I questioned in my mind. My heart was pounding as the smoky version of Damu looked my way.
Somehow, the smoke was encasing Sin and he couldn't move.
"Damu..." I whispered, "Why?"
"No matter how much, I wanted to return here, no matter how much I tried to fill my heart with hatred, I could'nt admit my true feelings. I can't.
I saw Sin and you and saw that he was about to kill you, I couldn't stand it. I know the consiqueses, but I love you Dawn." Damu said.
I looked at Prise.
"Right from the moment I was brought into this world, I was lost. I was a lost demon, I was never cut out to be one. I'm sorry if this upsets you Dawn, but I couldn't watch you die, I care too much about you." Damu said.
"Wait! That means you'll become a human though, right?" I asked.
The smoky firgure closed his eyes.
"Yes, but with the amount of blood missing, I will die quickly." He sighed.
"Where's your body?!" I asked.
"Most likely where it was last, Prise's house." Damu said, but he was muffled.
Then in a matter of seconds, he vanished.
Kirai was holding Damu's decapitated body.
"Kirai! Kill them!" Sin was still trapped.
Kirai looked at me.
"My Damu gave his life to save you..... He did love you....." she whispered.
Prise ran to me.
Sin got free and began running at us, just as Kirai said the spell and Prise and I were sent back to Earth.
