Chpater 6
The remainder of that school day was actually very quiet. Damu followed me around every class. He didn't even use his schedual, he followed mine. He somehow convinced the teachurs to let him do that. It's actually a little creepy...
"Dawn!" A voice called. I looked behind me and my heart skipped.
It was Prise! He was still in his wheelchair, but it was him! Without looking at Damu. I ran to Prise.
"I thought you were staying longer?!" I asked and hugged him lightly.
"They decided to let me out. Hey, can you wheel me to the office? I need to talk to the principle." Prise said. I nodded and took the handles of his wheelchair.
Damu walked up.
"Where you going Dawn?" He asked. Prise looked up at him with a confused face.
"Who are you and how do you know Dawn?"
"We're good friends. My name is Damian, I just moved here." Damu looked at Prise with a glare. For a while. Prise and Damu were glareing at each other.
"Settle down boys. Come on Prise, I'll take you to the office now."
As I wheeled Prise, Damu followed me at a distance.
"Is he following us?!" Prise sneered in discust.
"Yes, he's been following me all day. We have the same schedual." I sighed.
I thought I heard Prise growl, but I wasn't sure.
----after school----
"You coming to my house Prise?" I asked. Damu scowled at me.
"No, I can't. I have to go to the doctors for an x-ray. I'll come by tomarrow though." Prise sighed.
Then a car pulled up.
"That's my ride, I'll see you tomarrow Dawn!" Prise said glareing at Damu who put his arm around me and rested his chin on my shoulder.
I shrugged him off, and waved to Prise as he left.
"Who was he anyway?" Damu asked as I began to walk home.
"My best friend." I sighed.
"Is he your boyfriend? Is that why you wont go out with me?" Damu asked.
I blushed.
"I'm not Prise's girlfriend! He doesn't even like me like that!" I said.
Damu smiled and thought for a moment.
"Really? You say he doesn't think of you that way? Huh..... I finally got some competition!" Damu smiled.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You can't see it can you?" He asked.
I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Prise does like you! He's crazy about you! You should've seen the evil glare he gave me a while ago when I rested my chin on you! Prise loves you Dawn." Damu said.
I blushed.
"He loves me? Really?" I thought. I smiled.
"Dawn! Watch out!" Damu yelled, I wasn't watching where I was going and I wondered into the traffic.
There was a car speeding towards me and there was no way I'd escape it.
I heard the crash, but I didn't feel anything. I saw blood, but I felt nothing.
Then I looked, and Damu was standing infront of me, arms out, protecting me, and blood dripping down his body.
He collapsed to his knees and went silent.
"Damu?" I whispered.
He said nothing.
"Damu?!" I said louder.
"You.... okay?" He asked.
"Why did you do that? You could've killed yourself."
"I told you...... I care about you..." Damu whispered.
