Apparently I "Wonna ****** Play Hardball" Heh. Time for a spot of GAIA Drama, ladies and gentlemen. Earlier on today, I warned chibi_tenchi_555 for cybering in PMs. A brief PM exchange ensued (which he helpfully posted in the journal entry linked below), in which I was informed that "cybering is something that over half the users on gaia are doing at all times", and "if you plan to ban them all, then you might as well either make a section for users to do such activities, or just **** off". No, I'm not sure I follow the logic either. But strong words from a strong man, it would seem. This, apparently, constitutes a chewing out. surprised I then received a PM invitation to comment on the issue on this entry in his GAIA Journal [EDIT: It's since been deleted, alas. crying ]. It appears that I was being called out. lol A veritable lollercoaster of fun ensued, involving an attempt to explain that no, cyber's not allowed on the site regardless of how many people he thinks might actually do it. This sadly ended when he decided that I was not worth talking to, and he would "move on to a higher user", presumably to petition for a special cybersex forum to be created, to cater to the predilections of "over half the users", including himself. GAIA Brothels or something, perhaps. And just when I thought I'd gone a week with relatively little drama. xd EDIT: I've been informed by The Powers That Be (that is, Ling) that I can let the issue rest now, as he has brought the matter up with "higher personna" (his words). So that's all good. Also, please don't pester him in his GAIA Journal - the link above was provided for reference only, and he'll just add you to his Ignore list if he can't out-argue you anyway. biggrin** - Zahir

	Really? Man, that sucks. crying I mean, if he's going to make a public debate over it rather than keeping it in PMs, he could at least let everyone play. Otherwise it makes it look like he's afraid of being criticised or out-argued or something. xd

	A forum for cybering? Ew. How would one even troll such a place? Bukkake picture posts? Nah, they'd just direct you to the "j**z-on-your-face" sub-forum. The worst you'd get is being called a n00b. On the plus side, at least it'd give that "I Luv Poklemon" person a place to be accepted among other hideous freaks like himself.

	I, for one, agree with the 'Squishing him with the mighty ban-stick' Idea. I think Chibi's just mad that he can't get at the site's he wants on his Mom's computer without getting busted, and he's ashamed for being 'called out'. 	I would just like to say that you guys are actting like complete jackasses. I can understand, in a way, why you're making this into a joke, I just think that if you're going to insult or ridicule someone, you should do it to there faces and not by commenting in someone else's half-assed journal. On a side note: I agree with both chibi and Zahir on the cybering issue, so don't b***h to me about being on anyone's particular side.

	You're gonna need luck on your side to convince the admins to let you cyber. neutral And if it's "so easy" to track the location of IP addresses, then surely the same could be done for you? E-threats don't usually get very far, especially when you explain your means of carrying them out. If you do happen to carry that out, have fun getting arrested. neutral

	I think what was meant is that nobody will change the ToS in the way you're proposing it be changed, ie: dedicated forums for cyber, etc etc. For reasons which I've already explained in great detail. But since you've deleted the journal entry where I explained it, I'll reiterate here: Zahir Given that GAIA Online has a large number of underage kids on the forums, if the admins decide to let people cyber on GAIA that's going to lead to all kinds of lurid sensationalist attention from soccer moms and other representatives of the Moral Majority - you know the sort of thing, like how the forums are a prime hunting ground for child molesters out to groom impressionable youngsters for depraved sexual acts, and so on and so forth. The admins definitely don't want that kind of bad publicity. It could get the site closed down, it could get them sued, it could get them arrested. In short, it's a whole heap of st that they don't want to have to deal with. So by far the easiest solution is to ban cyber on the site, which is how it is now. That's why the Personals got closed down - because it was basically a cybersex hookup forum, and host to all kinds of creepy st. The site's better off without it. Or, more succinctly: Zahir Your likelihood of persuading the site's admins to effect a major policy change with regard to cybering in the forums is about as great as my likelihood of shitting a solid gold diamond-encrusted turd that sings Rule Britannia. 3nodding

	I just wanted to add... Thanks. I don't think half the people on gaia cyber, and I really hope that I don't run into them if they do - there are kids on here. There's no reason for it. Get up out of your computer chair and go out and get some lovin' if that's what you're looking for (it's not like it's hard - anyone can do it) - don't corrupt a world with kids on it like gaia. So, thanks for telling him to stop. Most would just ignore it.
