Chapter Two Wishing...
"Sing to me," Alex wispered seductivly into Wind's ear. She smiled, and closed her eyes. She began to sing a melody. It was exciting and calming at the same time, with an eerie tone. Alex listened contently, then sunk into the depths of the bed, eyes drooping and a drunken smile on his face, despite total sobriety. He was in her spell, and he couldn't get out.
Wind curled up next to him, pulling the thin red satin cover over the two of them. She rested her head on his chest, listening carefully to the blood flowing, the heart beating faster and faster due to her presence. His chest rose and fell, rose and fell from breathing. She sighed a quiet, happy sigh.
He looked at her, eyes full of love and adoration. His warm hands reached over, grasping her chin and head gently but firmly. She closed her eyes, and fell limp to his hold, to his steady gaze. He lifted her head up, and kissed her passionately.
So much for food. She was in love.
Wendy walked through the crowded hallways on her way to Language Arts. A thousand cold shoulders brushed against her own.
