if you really wanted to say it
you know you always could
tearing my heart to shreds
killing me where I stood
my eyes spill over with ocean tears
my mind a flood of curses for you
no one to assuage my constant fears
this only proved them to be true
never loving, never loved
a past I regret
and a future I dread
I leave you behind
but you did that to me long ago
no monsters for you to fear
your conscience must be so clear
no apology
unrequited feeling
my heart in chains and shackles
drop into infinity with sorrow
shoot me where I fall
never look back
pain you could never know
or comprehend
one day you might realize
what you didn't know you left behind
but for now
you'll go on with
simple-minded bliss
spawned from someone else's scars
