I just want to say before I launch into this that I rarely RARELY indulge in gossip. And now I never want to again. gonk

I had calculus last period today, and I was walking with my friend, Amy, to the after-school english scholorship class. She asks me "Ooo did you hear about Angie?" (Angie=another friend).
"No...What?" I reply.
"Well", quoth Amy, "I asked her if she wanted to come down to the dairy with me at lunch for ice-cream and she's all like 'nah', so I'm like 'ok', then, when I'm walking back I see her with Oscar!" (Oscar = Mackenzie (=another friend)'s boyfriend) (Angie = Mackenzie's best friend).

"Hmm...That is strange", I reply, "But you know, they share each other's boyfriends quite a bit."

At this point we're trundling past the tuckshop and have almost reached my locker. This is where I start babbling to Amy about how they went out with these guys and then swapped bf's and blah blah blah when I look out of the corner of my eye and notice a scarf that looks familiar. At that exact moment I hear a voice (you can guess who's) say "Jess".

OMG.

I swear I almost fainted. I could feel the blood draining from my head and the pathway went all swimmy.

Coward that I was I pretended I didn't hear her, even though she was right behind me. Must have seemed strange to her when all conversation ceased between Amy and me.

The worst part is I don't know for how long she was behind us. I don't know if she heard everything, or just the part about them sharing boyfriends. ******** ******** ******** FRIGGIN ********! AAARGHARGHARAGH!
