Ky woke up with a dazed look on his face, he didnt sleep well the night before.
"God some one shoot me" he said as he slowly rolled to his side, and there in all her beauty lay Fae, his wife, his mate, his reason for being. He sighed gently moving her hair away from her face, gently touching her cheek.
"If only I could figure these dreams out" as he softly kissed Fae's head, sturring her every so gently. She looked at him and he smiled, as she returned the smile and fell back asleep. Heh go figure he thought as he rolled back onto his back looking up into the nothingness that was his thoughts. At the moment the only thing on his mind was the nightmare he kept having over the series of nights. Horrible dreams that scared him to the brink of tears, of horrors that he could not put into words. It seemed that some one far away was trying to warn him, but of what he could not figure out. It seemed that all that was being shown to him was playing on his fears, his weakness, his emotions, and what ever it was, was starting to break his subconcious, and that was what he fear most. It ate at him like a virus or a cancer, and it nawd at the back of his mind as if some one was speaking to him all the time trying to make sure he didnt forget that they where there.
After a few hours of not sleeping Ky finaly got out of bed, making his way into the shower room. His mind still racing with the thoughts of his nightmare, keeping him awake through the course of the night.
"Let's hope that water will wash away the marks made in the night" he said to himself as he flipped the water on and stood under it, letting the water flow over his body from his head down to the floor. The water helped ease his mind alittle, and cleansed him of his ackes and pains from the day before.
"taking a shower without me" came a voice as ky turned around to see Fae standing in a towel, looking at him with a smile.
"not any more" he said laughing softly under his breath as Fae dropped the towel and stepped into the shower with him, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind holding her chest against his back.
"Have that dream again" she said kissing his back gently.
"Yes" Ky mumbled in return as he held Faes hands with his gently kissing them as he released her and turned around.
"They seem to be getting worse though, I cant fall back asleep after I wake up from one" his voice lower as he pulled Fae closer to him kissing her forehead gently.
"I didnt mean to wake you" was the only thing that seemed to come out of his mouth at the moment. Fae laughed as he kissed his nuzzle gently petting Ky's wet fur.
"Now now my love, you know if you cant sleep I can always ware you out" she said laughing hugging him.
" but now is the time to wash up its almost morning"
Fae always seemed to make Ky smile, and see the better side of things. After the shower he and her made their way to getting dressed as Ky started cooking breakfast and Fea started making the bed. In the long run Ky and Fae didnt know each other very long, since Ky had only moved to Ver'neic only 2 years ago.
His family moved from Nith Lorina, one of the major citys to the small town of Ver'neic to start a enw family, without all the pains of a city. Ky and Fae met as neighbores at first, which after a few months turned into lovers, till they finally descided to live together. Ver'neice was a small town so their house wasent to far from their parents houses which was a plus and a negative. Free breakfast was always nice, getting checked on every day and night was, well, a bit of a drag as most would say.
"Hey hun how would you like your eggs" Ky yelled out as he flipped a pancake and put in toast. He enjoyed cooking and owned a small cafe' in the middle of town.
"right where they are" Fea yelled back laughing.
"scrambled" she finally said as she came out of the bedroom dressed in her bartending outfit. Fea was Ky's bartender, and no most Cafe's dont have a bar but Ky's didnt, but not like most bars, ky's didnt server alcohol.
"Smells great" she said grabbing Kys butt as he kissed his cheek and sat down waiting for breakfast to be served. Ky smiled at her as he made a plate for her walking to the table laying out his and her food on the table, sitting down on his side.
"So you ready for this years Lantern Festival?" Fae said to Ky as he took a bit of her scrapple. The Lantern Festival was an honoring of the dead and deseast, a day of celebration and sorrow, one of Ky's favorite Festivals.
"Always, you know I love this time of year" he said as he continued to enjoy his breakfast. This year was special because Ky and Fae would be opening their own booth to sell food and icecream, something they had dreamed about as kids. They both where very excited to be able to make some extra income and to be able to have a booth, it was an honor to have a booth.
A quick explosion coming from outside caused breakfast to come to a quick stop as Fea and Ky jumped up and ran to the window to see what has caused the noise.
