I was asked to enter a poetry contest, and I did. I thought I'd share that poem with you all. n_n

Release

In the night, I sleep
In the dark, I dream
That the thoughts I cherish
I may then redeem
At the dawn, I wake
At the sun, arise
Bearing a thousand promises
Clutching them as a prize
At the church, I sing
At the pew, I pray
Setting loose my burdens
Those hopes and dreams to stay
