On Tuesdays (today) I have piano lessons. So I'm on my way to my piano lesson, but I didn't really want to go. Not that I hate piano, or my teacher, or the songs. I was just eager for soccer practice (also on Tuesdays). But anyways.
I'm passing the sed "Indian Village," a miniature forest in our neighborhood. I love it there; my brother (who was recently in the hospital), my best friend (xXK I K I -- S A M AXx), and I used to play together. I haven't been there with them, just them, in a while now. But I hear three kids speaking. Loudly. My heart beats so fast for some reason. I get pissed off and scared. All I can think of is a rhyme I heard, maybe you know it. It's "People are dying; children are crying; concentrate, concentrate." I go to see who it is; just the three fags of my neighborhood: S, J, and J^2. Let's call them that.
I scream at them to shut up, because I hate their voices. Mostly, I did it because I was afraid.
So I go to my piano lesson, which was cancelled due to a raccoon in the attic. "Wow," I thought. I'm there for about 5 minutes, and then I leave. I wanted to see if it was really S, J, and J^2, because I didn't have my glasses on and couldn't get a clear look at their faces. But they're gone. I sighed, and continued.
I see a fairy ring on my way back home. You know, the mushroom circle? I love sitting in these things, singing a random rhyme. So I sit down and try to think of a song. All that's in my head is the rhyme mentioned earlier. So I sat, and sang in a quiet, high voice.
The wind picks up.
I get louder.
The wind gets harder.
Animals run.
Before I finish the first rhyme, a mom from the previous piano lesson drives up and asks if I'm alright. The wind stops. I say, "I'm fine." She drives away. Then I continue.
Suddenly, I hear another voice. It's eerie, high-pitched, and haunting. I feel the hair on my neck begin to rise. The voice sings with me. I sing the rhyme twice, and stop. I get up. I leave.
All I can think of right now are mages in my head.
S is stabbed in the back with an ax. The blood is running down his back. It's everywhere.
J is stabbed in the back with 5 tacks. The blood is running down his back. It's everywhere.
J^2 is bitten by a venomous snake. The blood is running down his back. It's everywhere.
I think...I think that those three are dead right now.
