I wrote this poem the other day for a school class, and though I don't think anyone looks at anyone's journal, here it is...
I will get out,
I have to ignore the closing walls,
The hordes of people,
But I will get out.
I just have to look away from the man,
Babbling on and on,
Trying to cover the depressing silence,
And I will get out.
I'll tell myself I don't miss my family,
My kids and my home,
And even though I know I'm lying,
I will get out
I'll let the tears fall,
And try to hold on to any hope left,
Because sometimes I wonder,
Will I get out?
