"Waking up is a hassle epecially in a cloudy day."
My name is Jade Phenington, yes funny name, but what can I say Im not normal. On the contrary Im very abnormal. I was born under an eclipse, and my parents..... well lets just say they have power. Now don't go getting the wrong impression, by power I don't mean money, well yeah they have money but ...nope I mean so much more.
"Jade wake up dear, your father is waiting for you in the study."
"I'm going Nana"
Nana is a very special person that's been with me since birth. Of course, she's old but still warm, not like some of us. Mother and Father are always away and never really have time for me.
"Okay what shall I wear, hm... black shirt with pants, a black dress,... na I'll go with the shirt and pants."
"Jade are you done, do you need help?"
"No nana Im fine."
"Hurry dear you don't want to keep your father waiting, you know how he gets."
"Yes Nana."
"Oh, and Jade dear make sure to bring your journal your father wants to see it."
Ooooppss! I totally forgot to write in it, what am I going to do. Hey what was I even supposed to write in it. Oh, Im in big trouble, father is going to kill me. Ha that was funny.
"Jade dear,.. did your hear?"
"Yes?"
"Um.... what was I supposed to write in it?"
Gasp. "Please tell me your joking... Jade no that was important, he'll kill you now for sure."
That just proved it, Im dead... well not literally... I hope. Maybe I can write something and make it seem like it was written a few days ago, uh hell he'll know for sure that I did that.
"Nana, help me please"
"Well Jade dear, open the door please."
"Alright nana"
Opening the door was a big mistake. Not only was Nana there, but my mother as well. I wonder if she'll kill me instead. I wouldn't mind if it was her, she would do it fast and painless.
"Jade"
"Ms. Phenington ma'am"
Poor Nana, she look3ed so scared and small. It seems like mother sneeked up on poor Nana. Mother doesn't look so mad, but then again when does she ever show anything except the stone cold face. Well here I go, good luck Jade.
"Hello mother."
"Jade you shouldn't keep your father waiting, t could be worst if your late"
"Yes mother"
"Oh and Jade?"
"Yes mother?"
"Your grandmother has just arrived, so be nice"
Oh great, just what I wanted, my grandmother to barge in at the wrong momet. God please help me against her might wrath. Wait, what is she doing here...I mean she usually only comes once a year and this would be her second visit. Hmmmm.... should I risk it and ask mother, she hates grandma.
"Um.. why is she here?"
"Your father and I well explain once you get your tush down to the study."
"Very well"
"Oh and Jade, bring your empty journal."
Was that a smirk, I can't believe it my mother is actually going to have fun watching my get a beating. Uh, my mother totally sucks, I wonder if I can trade her. That's such a good idea, but I can't there goes my hopes and dreams.
"Ms. Miko make sure to clean the guest room."
"Right away Ms. Phenington"
"Nana, don't start without me k?"
"Of course dear."
Poor Nana, I wish mother would hire someone else to hep her in house. Being seventeen is such a nightmare. Well here I go, please don't let this day be my dying day.
