The world is itself,
yet it knows not who it really is,
i only wish they saw themselves how i see them,
through a mirror.
the big picture shows us a world,
but when you look closely at the reflections,
you can see the anger,
the hate,
the rage in their eyes.
a sense of despair,
that has them captured in chains.
i wish they could see themselves in the mirror as i see them.
i wish they could see their selves through this broken mirror.
and i stare down in despair into that mirror,
it shatters before my very eyes,
dropping to the floor with a crash,
into a million pieces......
i wish the world could see what they've become,
only pieces of a broken mirror.
